New York, NY (June 3, 2022) - The Blue Stones, aka Tarek Jafar and Justin Tessier, return with a new summer single, “Don’t Miss,” prior to kicking off a U.S. co-headlining tour with Des Rocs next Friday, June 10 in Milwaukee and running through July 23 in Columbus. The track, produced by The Blue Stones with Boonn (grandson/Demi Lovato), is out now. Watch the video + share via YouTube.
Discussing the single, the duo noted, “We wanted every listener to feel just as confident as we did while recording this song, and give them a theme to revel in their own accomplishments with. This song is the smirk you give to anyone who thinks you aren't worth the hype.”
The Blue Stones released their acclaimed and JUNO nominated (‘Rock Album of the Year’) sophomore album, Hidden Gems, in the spring of 2021, featuring three top 5 radio singles in Canada, including “Shakin’ Off The Rust,” which was the #1 most played single in Canada last year, and hit the Top 5 on Billboard’s ‘Rock’ radio chart.
While “Shakin’ Off the Rust” is probably the closest to the sound the band inhabited on their 2019 debut Black Holes, which also earned them a JUNO nod, it also represented a clear and profound evolution – more textured, more layered and more confident than anything before, laying a forward path that they look to take even further on their upcoming LP.
Discussing heading back to the U.S. this summer, Tarek and Justin noted, “It was hard to keep this one a secret, especially because our fans kept asking for it not knowing it was already in the works. It's the Rock & Roll tour of the year, hands down."
