SONG WRITING OF FAIR TO MIDLAND "ARROWS & ANCHORS"

"I think we started taking more influence from more straight-up rock 'n' roll," said guitarist Cliff Campbell in a 2011 interview with Guitar World, talking about Fair to Midland's 'Arrows & Anchors,' "the progressiveness is still there, of course, but there are a lot more rock riffs there that didn't really exist before so much on (2007's) 'Fables.' We were looking for a big, epic feel on that album, and we still do that same thing, but those moments of rock just really needed to be captured, and I think we really did that on quite a few of the songs."

ON MAKING THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR FAIR TO MIDLAND "MUSICAL CHAIRS"

"It’s a strange thing because we were kind of new to the whole video thing and maybe not the most comfortable bunch of guys on camera," said Fair to Midland keyboardist Matt Langley in an interview with The Aquarian, "but yeah, what we did basically was just our live show in front of the cameras and just sort of, you know, kind of ignored all of the equipment and the help and everything else going on and just went on and did what we normally do."
